Response to Alcor Finally Reports on the Losses in its Patient Care Trust
Alcor CFO: “The SP500 lost approximately 38% of its value in 2008 while the Alcor PCT lost approximately 23% of its value in 2008.”
These numbers are of very limited value unless we know how much new money was added to the PCT during year 2008. Without taking into consideration the new cash flow, the PCT loss could be worse than the SP500 loss. If Alcor wants to brag how great financial wizards they are, then they should release complete financials of PCT, not select just one, possibly misleading, number.
If Jeniffer’s promise to release more information about PCT materializes, it would go a long way to reassure Alcor members that they might be in good hands.
