Ironic that those who protest the most, are crying for censorship on CFMarch 14 2009 at 11:33 PM

Response to Irony
Where are the voices of those who believe in full disclosure of the entities who offer services to the cryonics public, here on CF? Am I the only one?
Almost everyone who has spoken here to get some message or thread deleted, clearly has something to hide and does not believe in disclosure. They would all fit in well at Alcor. I heard Alcor is hiring.
A huge example of hypocrisy is Melody's claim that it is not the place of the individual person to assess the credentials of a medical professional. Oh, people like hospital administrators (LOL) who have separate agenda such as profitmaking, should be the only ones to do that, the rest of us have no voice, like Alcor members. Strangely, this does not translate to the real world, where each of us as lowly peons have to choose the doctor or other medical provider we go to, and on the basis of what? Hearsay? Usually, because most of those people also seek to hide their backgrounds, and it takes a pay websearch to find out if they have been sued or have disciplinary action.
And now because I generously stated I do not personally believe Melody's criminal record has any relevence to cryonics, she wants to deny others the chance to make up their own minds about it. I think the facts should speak for themselves. I am having trouble believing she is objecting to this exposure, since she has IMO done no wrong as to cryonics, in regard to anything that happened in Louisiana. That I am sorry to say, is the gratitude offered by a person of totalitarian mentality.
Is there some irony in that I do not provide my personal information or make it possible for anyone to obtain it? I can see how some might think that. I don't, tho, have any past or present employment in cryonics, or any membership in any cryonics organization, and no bias except in favor of what appears to be the cleanest act. That puts me even lower on the "public figure" pole than unperson, who is a cultly-devoted Alcor member, and refuses to divulge his ID also.
(When one anonymous takes a stab at another anonymous on this Forum, I hope the Forum Owner won't mind, as after all, who is being hurt? Some virtual anonymous?! And besides, what's wrong with a little fun?!)
Melody, OTOH, has been employed by a cryonics org, and might well be again (I hope she does and she gets the head straight on her shoulders), and also has way more scientific background as a perfusionist than someone such as I could claim. I am glad I got to see that nothing in her past, IMO, that I now know of, has much negative relevance to cryonics. I would think she would appreciate that also, but she might rethink her objection to the positive value of exposure.
