Maybe it is because he tells as it is, not as you want to hear it? It reminds me of Harry S. Truman when he said about heckling opponents (In those days there were no flamers): "I do not give them hell. I just tell the truth and they think it's hell". So you need to find a passive punching bag for venting your frequent frustrations.
