Your argument has the surface appearance of making sense. Sure, why should we be so arrogant as to think we are better than the Egyptians?
It only stops making sense when you take five seconds to think about it. Of course we are less likely to be wrong on empirical truths than ancient Egyptians. That's what progress is.
And no, you can't argue that my zeal implies lack of validity on the part of my position. That's just as much a fallacy as it would be for my zeal to function as evidence of its validity. It is not evidence at all either way.
You're free to jeer or cheer, but don't whine about having your arguments held to scrutiny.
