Response to Darwin's "Urgent" message on CryoNet

I think at least the criticism of myself is valid. I am not organized enough. I intend to remedy this in the future. I think the criticism of the Cold Filter that it has not been moderated well enough (in times past) is also valid, though perhaps Mike took it too far by characterizing it as a nest of vipers and the ross thread as its offspring.

I've found the informality here (and even the fact that it's not explicitly pro cryonics) to be a nice thing. One need not be pro cryonics to be pro intellectual integrity, which is how I started and how I remain. By challenging arguments on their merits we gain credibility, and by attacking cryonics with inherently bad arguments the hostiles lose theirs.

I do think we need to move forward to more of a Web 2.0 kind of community. Use of a Karma system, etc. can help a lot. People need to be able to give quick feedback yet be able to change their mind later. Less Wrong is a stellar example of this.
