Leslie Howard

Those of you who've read 'Mouse Under Glass' (Or my pathetic little essay thingie "Basil vs. Basil") may know that Basil's design was originally to be based on Bing Crosby, but then they decided on *Leslie Howard*. For the longest time I didn't even know who this guy WAS, let alone what he looked like. I had a picture of him at my website for a while but then it disappeared on me.... I'll find another one tho.

Anyway last night I couldn't sleep so I stayed up watching this movie called "It's Love I'm After." LO-O-O-OOOVE It! And I think you guys would love it too-- Leslie Howard is a snooty actor named Basil Underwood (eh? eeeeh? Basil dangit, BASIL!) who's engaged to one lady who's kind of a pain, but he loves her, but he starts falling for this girl who's a HUGE fan of his....
It's mostly a verbal comedy, and the jokes come a mile a minute, and it's just too delicious-- don't miss it for the world!!!

The more stuff I see Leslie Howard in, the more I like him! I wonder why he never played Sherlock Holmes. Hmmmm...

Oh yes-- Happy Holidays y'all!
