Don't be an ass. Pavements are for pedestrians and most pay for the privilege indirectly. Roads are for vehicles and most pay for the privilege directly. Cyclists ride on pavements, roads and parks and pay for nothing. I feel cycling should be a pleasurable experience for all concerned, but enough is enough. What about the pathways in the woods being widened, so cars can travel through the woods at say a modest 20mph? Far slower I hasten to add than many cyclists.
If cyclists were to saunter through the woods on their bikes than all would be well and few would complain, but the majority hare through the woods as if their very lives existed upon it and are a bloody nuisance to all who visit. If you want true pedal power, piss off to Holland. Where, provided you have a valid tax disc, you can cycle to your hearts content, but still be expected to comply with all the rules of the road.
