Boy, am I past update time! I guess I posted to the forum, but not here.
So far, my hair has finally gotten waist length. Unfortunately, it looks pretty awful. Outside of the 3 inch bounce that makes it look barely below bs length, the ends are raggedy and barely there. Sigh. Time for another trim. My hair may not be the long long type. My life style isn't exactly the type either, I note as wallaby joeys nibble on my bangs and lemur fingers accidently yank out whole strands. My hair is so light weight even at this length it falls over my shoulders to the front. I kept hoping it was just layers growing out. I'm also losing handfuls of it, hopefully just a seasonal thing. In the meantime, Kerry's is looooong and beautiful and heavy. He's making noises about getting it cut, refuses to let it get waist length, darn it! Still, it's a lot longer than I ever thought it would be. Didn't think he'd let it go without getting it cut once the weather got warm, long thick hair is hot!
Still doing the henna, won't be switching back to the chem dyes unless I do something stupid and decide to go blonde! Last time I just had some left over I had put in the freezer, it had thawed and refrozen so I wasn't sure it would be good. Put it just on the roots, hoping I wouldn't get stripes. For about 24 hours you could tell I had done just the roots if you had me holding very still under a very bright Ott light. After that, no difference. Henna does not fade out on me. I have much less difference between end color and root color than I did with the chem dyes. I put clove with it, didn't change the color, but makes it smell nice and slightly spicy when it gets wet, instead of like hay. I guess I will be cutting off the last of my natural red, very little of it left at the roots.
