Time for roots

I have done it again, let my hair get long roots. It didn't grow for about a month, then all of a sudden I have gray roots showing. They actually show more against the bright henna, but they don't bother me as much, weird. Maybe because I don't dread the whole process and stink like with the chem dyes. Maybe because I just love the color so much. I'm just lazy about getting it done.

I've decided I like my hair cut. I'd still like to have it long, but it's easier to handle without all those whispy ends and looks much better. BSL may be my terminal point for looking good, but I guess that's OK, I can still get it pulled up or back and play with styles. The ends feel sooo much better. I don't think I have too much left to grow out, so what is left is mainly pretty healthy. It's still bright in the sun, but the color is a deep auburn under house lights. Much richer than what color my hair was, way back when it was still naturally auburn. I hated the whole dye process, but I can run around with green gunk in my hair for hours and not be bothered a bit. It's a pain to wash out, but since that is the major drawback, I can live with it! Kerry remarks how pretty it is quite often now, that alone would make it worth while!
