Here are some pictures of the kennel house. It was here when I bought this property. It was NOT built correctly and has practically rotted down. It has served it's purpose and it's time for some new renovations. Below are pictures of it as it looked before demo and how it looks at this minute. I plan on having it completely down tomorrow as I didn't get a chance to do anything with it today......

Jimbo....Once you step over to the dark side you may never get back! Just kidding, from what you've told me you would LOVE these Patterdales or the crosses from them.....Gotta get back to the demolition now...

Jimbo....I don't know anything about MQH. However, I do know that you want to get dogs from WORKING STOCK only. Just like bird dogs, you have to obtain these dogs from someboday that hunts them, someone that know what they're doing and uses them for what they were bred for, in order to get the best quality of working stock you can, for yourself. I can recommend a few folks that I know personally that have good working stock....me, of course, and a couple of fellas that I got my dogs from. One's in Texas, one's in Georgia, the others are here in Oklahoma. There are some other guys that work their dogs hard but you can't get any stock from them. You have to be in the "loop", and it's tough to get in, as they don't readily welcome outsiders unless your a friend of a friend. Most of these hard core Patterdale guys hate the fact that people offer dogs for sale to the general public. This is a different group of folks, but they are only trying to protect the breed as well as trying to protect themselves by being able to continue to hunt these great little dogs. For one, animal rights activists are lurking everywhere. The other problem is, over the years a HUGE majority of "breeders" took what once was true working dogs, only to have "prostituted" these dogs for monetary puposes or tried to produce a "show type" where the working instincts went down the toliet. Look at the Irish Setter and the Jack Russell Terrier for example. Thank goodness there are a select few folks that still breed their dogs for work. Matt Thom, for instance, breeds true working Airedales. The real blue collar stuff. Dogs that are as royally bred as any show type, except for one huge difference, Matt dogs WILL work - the others might, if you are lucky. And so it is the same for the Patterdales....and Pointers as far as that goes......

Jimbo....I am going to raise a litter of Patterdales this year. I am going to breed Roxy to a very hard Nuttall bred male named "Toby". The female I have pictured at the top of the photo gallery of our forum is Roxy. Just as there are certain families or lines in Pointers, (Fiddler, Elhew, Miller's) there are also lines in Patterdales. Brain Nuttall is an English chap that could easily be compared to the Robert Wehle of Patterdales. Lots of dogs and has been doing it for a long time. Toby is very linebred Nuttall dog, where Roxy is linebred Booth breeding. Booth is a fella from Ireland and he could be compaired to Miller, having very good dogs but maybe not each dog correctly reflecting their genetics indicative of their pedigree , but good dogs nevertheless. Anyway what this mating will amount to is a litter of "halvsie's" Nuttall crossed over Booth. This will be a litter of HARD terriers weighing in at around 15 pounds at maturity. I'll keep ya posted....
