Pups from Lou - Hoss mating

Below are pictures I received yesterday from 2 different owners of male pups from the Lou - Hoss mating. The orange and white pup is Rico, owned by Mike Coleman of Iowa. The black and white pup is Doc, owned by Brian Brannon of Georgia.

This is Rico. This is his first training session and also pictured is his first honor of another dog.

Below is Doc. Doc, unlike his littermate brother Rico, has a classic "pump-handle" tail. Given time Doc's tail will look just like Rico's.

You can see a slight downward bow to Rico's tail, if you look close enough, it is more previlent in the picture of him backing. Below is a picture of Bo'Darc CW Squirt. She is a half sister to Lou, both are sired by Stitch. In the first picture she is about or just a little less than a year old. The second picture is of her just a few weeks before her 2nd birthday. Quite a difference a year makes. I personally am not concerned with a pump-handled tail puppy off of a strong Fiddler mating. It'll straighten up a bunch, if not to being broom handle straight eventually...given some time
Here's Squirt:

Here's some more of my thoughts about tales...I mean tails...

Camera Fix

March 15 2007, 7:35 PM

Hey Mike Coleman...you need to let someone fix the date on your camera. It shows 5-19-06...Rico was whelped 11-21-06. Oh wait...I remember....those are the mental pictures I had of the offspring from the Lou - Hoss mating 4 months to the day before I bred her to Hoss. Yeah...I remember now....sorry Mike...my bad!

Sandy

April 2 2007, 6:36 PM

This is a littermate to Mike and Brian's dog. Her name is Sandy. I took a couple of video's today of her first point and then another one that was probably her 4th. point. I am very impressed with what I see in this pup and litter as well. If the pups from this litter continue to develope as I expect them to, I am definately going to make another Lou-Hoss mating and keep more next time!

Here are her videos:

Oh my gosh..

April 6 2007, 11:51 AM

It was 85 degrees here Monday, the day I made the video with Sandy. I'm sure you've all noticed the shorts! Here it is Friday and now it's 40 degrees and supposed to get down to 25 tonight. I am ready for some warm weather cuz I am done with the cold....

Is anybody else seeing a bumper crop of ticks? I can't beleive how bad some of my dogs are. I've been playing catch-up around here since I had to work so much overtime this year already. I usually have my dogs first dipping already finished by now but I just can't recall seeing so many, so early. I'd like to do it today but it's 40 stinkin degrees, I don't want to make them sick or freeze them to death with a cold dipping. I'm shooting for Monday after work, supposed to be 65 degrees. We just experienced the wettest March on record, which was extremely needed, I'm just wondering if that's what sparked the tick invation? I dunno....makes me wonder what's gonna happen when I go sit on the ground next to a tree to shoot a turkey....yikes

More Lou - Hoss Pups

April 16 2007, 8:12 AM

I recently received another update on some more pups from the Lou - Hoss mating. These pups are owned by the Baker brothers in Iowa, Gary and Randy. The have an orange ans white female named "Dottie" and a black and white named "Katie". Sounds like these two pups are doing quite well. Here's their pictures.....
