Hey Mr. Dale...sorry it's taken so long to get to your question. First I'll give you the bad news. I've had a pretty rough go of it here lately with my neck. Tomorrow I go to Oklahoma City for a discogram. Here is a link for more on that
http://www.allaboutbackpain.com/html/spine_diagnostics/spine_diagnostics_discogram.html . Sounds like a real treat.
Now the good news. I have 3 litters on the ground by Dave. The first litter is out of Squirt they are 11 weeks old. The second litter is out of Tinker and they are 6 weeks old. The third litter is out of Sally and they are 3 days old. I am having alot of fun with the pups as they are the only "dogs" I am able to work. The neck has not allowed me to do any dog work at all, so I am playing with the pups since they aren't strong enough to hurt me at this point.
The Squirt pups are FULL of personality and point, so much so on the point, that I am not going to use the wing anymore I will now introduce them to pigeons. If the weather and my neck cooperates I hope to do this with them this week. I believe they will take to this like ducks to water. I expect them to be scent pointing pigeons by the end of the month.
Tinker's pups are just now really starting to blossom. So far I am very pleased with their personality and uniformity of type. Sally's pups are looking real good for being 3 days old, so I am very pleased to say the least about the Dave pups. Two more females are carrying pups by Dave, Rita and Cassie, both due mid November. Since my hunting season is looking more bleak by the day because of the issues with my neck, I am going to enjoy playing with these Dave pups and look forward to next season, just like I am looking forward to next year's OU - Texas game
