RM is losing credability with me ...and others?

I own two RM watches. In fact I'm wearing one at this very moment and I admit to loving it's look and feel.

However, I am very concerned about the company's failure to control it's AD's from unloading (dumping) watches in the secondary market, and who re-sell at deep discounts.

For example, currently there are four (4) RM 05's for sale on ebay--deeply discounted off MSRP. Obviously, RM production of 05's is outstripping demand. Discounting off retail, obviouisly, is a fact of life. However, I have no doubt that, unless RM begins to excercise controls, the brand will suffer a serious decline.

I admire Patek, FPJ and even Rolex for controling their AD's. Discounts of more than 10% can result in the loss of the dealership.

RM apparently could care less; and it won't be long before I and other's feel the same way. I was conteplating an 09 or 02--not anymore. Now its wait and see.

Frankly, I expected a lot more from him as an independent forging a new brand with exciting ideas and innovations.
