can anyone lighten me on the way RM numbers his watch cases?

I've seen earlier models of the same ref but with a higher case number than more recent ones.

Alex, good question, and one to which I do not have a ready answer...

When the RM005's were started, the first 110 cases (I think) were order 1 through 110, the next 110 were in red gold (numbered 111 through 220), and then titanium. It depends on the batch ordering of cases from Donze Baume (the case manufacturer), so you can have some more recent numbers for, say, white gold, with numbers from, say, titanium looking like they came from an earlier set.

I might be wrong with all of this, and if I am, I happy to be corrected.
