Bhadbhoy I think you'll like this (found it while surfing) ... also saw the MON jpeg that Ghirlie sent on your frontpage .... nice!
Looking forward to Sundays game & this time Dundee might just do it. Doei.
As an avid viewer of HT I just thought I'd send a quick message regarding an experience myself and a couple of my friends had just after the 1-0 game at Celtic Park. It might just explain the reason for Neil Lennon's "enthusiasm" during the Semi-Final the Wednesday previous.
On the way home to Bristol after the "League Decider" me and my mates Davie and John were in Glasgow Airport. We went for a coffee to kill time and found ourselves sitting behind Neil Lennon. He was on his own and while not liking to bother him decided to ask him to sign a programme for my lad. " Nae bother " said Neil , "alright" I thought "ask him".
"What did that wee pr**k Ferguson say to you last Wednesday" NL smiled , " Oh nothin' much just tried to wind me up" I thought that was that, said thanks and took my seat again.
Then Neil turns around, pulls his chair up to us and said: "Well what had happened was that big Chris Sutton and Ferguson have the same agent and Chris had found out that Ferguson had been bragging about how he was going to "do Lennon" at the Semi. Big Sutty told me and told me to look out. Anyway, in the tunnel at Hampden the teams are lined up next to each other and Big Sutty shouts "Hey Fergie tell Neil how you are going to do him" Ferguson's face is turning red and he's keeping his head down "C'mon" says Chris "there's no cameras here, tell him" Ferguson just blanks it but I'm staring at the wee pr**k and he knows I know but he just bottled it."
The man then goes on to tell us about his transfer from Leicester and what was said during the negotiations, also about his parents being so proud to see their son in the Hoops and so on. He also told us about the tremendous support in the U.S.A. and how against Dundee Utd, on Boxing day he felt like joining in on the singing and had to be told by a certain player to keep his concentration - he was just so caught up in the atmosphere. After another few minutes he shook us by the hand , wished us luck and left for his flight down south.
We were left feeling chuffed that without prompting, the man had time to discuss his experience with some fans. He was and is a credit to himself, his family and to Celtic. Aye we have a good one there
