I have to say that any self respecting Irishman would never accept an OBE,MBE,or any other recognition from the British hierarchy.Im not a Republican,but I am proud to be Irish,and as a Dubliner who passes the GPO every day on the way to work am fully aware of the legacy of British rule in the south of Ireland.The sooner the better our brothers in the North have the feeling of freedom in their own country.Every day brings that feeling closer,and some day that dream will become a reality.Good things come to those who wait and as Irishmen we will wait forever and a day till our country is united.
