I saw the game yesterday and the Republic played much better than Spain. Also they improved tremendously from previous World Cups. I'm willing to support Ireland in Euro 2004 in Portugal.

I'm not saying I'd love these two to be at Celtic next season but I've read reports that MON could be interested in them. Anyway, I know we need to bring in some fresh faces, namely an attacking?creative midfeilder to replace Lubo but I think we should give the likes of Maloney, Healy and Smith more of a chance in the first team. They've proven on several occasions that they're capable of playing at the highest level.

Well first of all I'm sure I speak for a large number of Celtic fans when I say I am proud to be Scottish, of Irish descent but most certainly not proud to be British.
Why should Irish-minded Scots be loyal to a country (Britain) who attempted to destroy the country of their forefathers and wipe out its people in the process? The Famine was not the only reason why Irish people moved to Scotland you know, they were also driven out by the reign of terror imposed on them by the British!

Let's not fall out over this! First of all, I never said I hated British or English people, in fact, I have nothing against them - I just don't like British imperialism, that's all.
I also can't understand why Scottish Celtic fans of Irish descent cannot celebrate their heritage without being labelled pro-IRA bigots. I do not agree with the actions of the IRA and other such groups but in that I includes the UVF and other loyalist palamilitary groups who are just as bad as the IRA.
We celebrate and acknowledge our heritage, unlike many Rangers fans who glorify the UVF and Ulster, not because they feel an affinity with the place but because it opposes the Irishness which surrounds Celtic. Now that's what I call small-minded bigotry.

Just back from boozer after the Celts v Leeds game.Read all the comments below and agree with them all.Martin got it wrong tactically and gambles on Sutton and Lambert backfired.We all know the better team won on the day.But thats all it was,a one off game!! We've been the best team over the season and deserve to be champions.Also we are in the Champions League and that is more important than the Scottish Cup.Celts were great agaist Leeds,and the fans that travelled were exceptional.The goals scored were top class and we played Leeds off the park.We need just one or two decent signings to strenghten the squad and then we'll march on to three in a row.Keep the heads up and remember when the Champions League starts nobody will remember the cup final,

OK so we were poor on Saturday and deserved to get beat bla bla bla...we know MON got it wrong for once n all the rest of it! Lets not start moaning or making escuses and lets put things in perspective; two years ago we failed to get past the 3rd round of the Scottish Cup and winning the league seemed like a fairytale dream of a era long since past.
But then St Martin came along and BANG! He won us back-to-back titles for the first time in 20 years. The fact is, we have proved over the course of this season that we are the best team in the country, we are the true CHAMPIONS...and the huns know it!
Keep the faith fellow tims and lets look forward to another glorious season cos we're MARCHING WITH O'NEILL TO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE THREE IN A ROW! Bring on the Euro glory nights at Paradise and remember, WE ARE THE CELTIC!

Well the blessed Martin O'Neil got his cup final selection wrong and his tactics , maybe the Healeys'etc of the this great team should have played , the tic looked knackered near to the end and I was dreading e/t , but a least we've got the main prize and it took a full strength Huns team to beat a half fit Celtic team . I feel the board must give O'Neil the money to buy some fresh talent for next seasons Champions league bash . The scabby Huns can keep the Scottish Cup for now , they have just got a wee loan of it , we will also get the league cup back (remember the huns thought it was a mickey mouse cup and wanted to bin it !).
Already looking forward to next season . C,mon the Hoops .

That wis the worst performance of the season by far.We were deplorable but still had enough chances to win the match twice over.That fuckin mason Dallas n that fuckin ned wannabee Ferguson certainly didnt help.We deserved to loose & we let oorselves down with a lack of commitment.Injuries are the huns excuses & we are better than that.I for one am glad that we didnt resort tae the hun tactics of thuggery enytime one of us had the ball.

How come Rangers are always up for it and we're not, Celtic where shite on saturday Rangers ran them aff the park n Henrik larsson wis at cunt even playin???thats the worst ave seen him all season.........even when we where 2-1 up they where still the better team, whats happenin???Martin oneill didn't change the formation he let it go and let rangers take control of the second half ,the goal was always comming and as much as i hate to say if the game was takin to extra time we wid have lost anyway.. i know hugh dallas didn't help,but we cant always come up with that excuse ...we didnt deserve to win the game and if we are to win the league next year AGAIN the team will hvae to be improved during the summer
