I am part of a not-for-profit working group linked to Loughborough University in the UK, focussed on demonstrating the benefit of directing R&D funding to driving true innovation in safety and performance to equipment manufacturers.
We have developed a brief questionnaire that we would like to be completed by players actively involved in Lacrosse. In turn, we will do everything we can to respond with encouraging a resurgence of lacrosse product development. Our case would be strongest supported by information from as broad a cross section of the active lacrosse population as possible.
Please click on this link or copy it into your address bar.

We are also recruiting for volunteers to test new equipment. You will have brand new custom equipment made for you at the cutting edge of sports design. All we need is for you to commit to giving us productive feedback on our products before they are released to the market.
This type of study has been performed very successfully in the past, as a catalyst for enormous development of American Football helmets over the last 6 years, including over 25% greater impact protection and real-time diagnostic player health information transmitted directly to coaches on the sideline. We are looking to encourage manufacturers to achieve and market real advances in player safety, with the belief that introducing such products will make sport more enjoyable, accessible and help people enjoy our sport for longer.
Kind regards,
Simon Patterson

We'll be attending the Gens game against Saginaw this coming Monday afternoon. Can someone recommend a good sports bar to eat before the game? We were at the Top Prospects game a few weeks ago and couldn't find anything suitable in the area. Shoeless Joe's was closed for remodelling. What about Don Cherry's? I see that there are a couple of these listed on the internet, but couldn't find any info on them. All we need is a sandwich menu and cold beer. Any help would be appreciated.

Italy has completed their application into the ELF/ILF leagues and will be participating in the europeans in 04' and worlds in 06' seasons. This is a giant step in the right direction for lacrosse adding new countries by the year. The italians have a culb team (italy united) which will be participating in tournments around the globe to promote lacrosse in italy as well as the rest of europe. This club team is made up of anyone associated with an italian connection, wether it's family, friends, girlfriend, wives, co-worker, etc. This team does not restrict any player insterested in playing lacrosse and can help with the promotion of lacrosse in italy. We are in the works of putting a tournment in Rome possibly for a june date, so if you are interested please email m to let me know and i will fwd all info to my staff, this includes teams as well since it will be open to all age groups including men and women divisions. As for the italian national team you must qualify in order to be eligable to play, please see this link if you want to check your status.... http://www.conlang.com/english/E05CITIZENSHIPBYDESCENT.htm
You must provide all documentation in order to be accepted, birth cirtificate, marriage license, etc. We will be holding North American tryouts sometime in May/June but exact date and location has not been disclosed just yet. You can check out our web site www.italianlacrosse.info to see any updates and how we did in the amsterdam tournment this past week. If you have any questions or if you would like to purchase italian lacrosse apperal please email me and we will discuss your request.

The team next year is not gonna be to good. We lost Brent, Ilya, Greg etc. By the way who was the genious (sp?) who decided to trade Barry and Brian to Guelph? Sure Barry didn't play much last year cause he was hurt and he had to get surgery but when he did play he was good. Brian was so cool. He always provoked other players. He was so funny. He was a good player too. By the way I think the new rookies should be good. Especially Ben Eager. Oh yeah Congrats to Dave Smith on getting picked by Peterbourough.( He goes to the same school as me) I know he's going to a shitty team but at least he's good enough to play.

How do you feel he's going to a shitty team,,,The PETES have put more players
by Methos (no login)
in the NHL than any other CHL team(including OSHAWA).
Oshawa had picks before us---just why do you suppose he was still there ?? No matters though, he will get the proper training he requires here in the PETES org. I'm glad that he was still there when it was our turn to pick. He is a welcome addition to camp and if hhe makes the team it will look good on the Gens for passing him by.
He got drafted to team that will give him a chance to be somebody in his hockey world.
You're something else you are --- all in the same breath you say congrats and tell him he's going to a shitty team (that should make him feel good for a minute than bad for a minute then confused).
Methos :)

Dave got picked in the third round. The Petes or Gens or any other team for that matter could had picked him up before that. Dave is a great hockey player. I just happen to hate the Petes. I know the Petes have a great organization but I feel that the Generals are better. My friend's brother was suppose to go to the Petes this year but he never got picked. They made a pretty stupid move there cause he is a great hockey player too. You need to be a good hockey player to make it to the OHL. If Dave was a shitty hockey player he wouldn't have gotten picked. Dave is a good hockey player.

How do you know that Dave and Mike are good hockey palyers? You've never seen them play before. You think that Lianne is your friend, well, you're wrong. And you act all cool that Dave and Mike go to our school. GOD!

board ads should b on the Bunnie chanl not on a hockey talk board. you don't know the first thing about hockey so why not go to these other boards and leave the hockey people to talk hockey not muscles, bumps ad bulges(which seems to do something for your age group).
Thats the way I see it.

Excuse me?? You don;t knwo me, and as you had said "females hockey is growing". i am not saying that i know more than cdog, or even you, i am just saying i do know about hockey, not only the guyz. I know about the guyz cuz a lot of my friends kno em, so, u hear a lkot about em. I do kno about hovkey, i play goalie, well, i did before i moved to ontario. You are sterotypical over females. WE are in 2000, and women know as much as men, eben though men csan't stand the fact. I must admit guyz do know more than some gurls in some topics, and the same is for gurls knowing more than men on other topics. But hockey is widely growning for females, and we are learning a lot about it, it is some gurls which makes it bad for others. but things have changed in today's society, and you have to reralize that mens roles and womens roles have changed, and it is an equal society, where ppl do (who care abotu their sex) know stuff.......sorry for any info that might pfeend you1

If you can read, my name is "renee", it has nothing to do with "chick". They just don't want to use their real name, and there is nothing wrong with that. I like Nick because he is loyal, truthful, nice, caring, goo-looking, great at hockey...and much more, should i have to continue. They are good reaons to like anyone! well, u must have gave "a damn" of what we were talking about, because you spent your time into checking out our conversations!! And we are communicating here, like, you would on icq....nothing wrong with this..and you can't do anything about it either!! so bug off!! If you don;t want to hear us, go to another page, and talk about "your kinda interesting things", we find this interesting...and we won't stopcomming on here, because "we are 16", we do know what we are talkign about!! god!!

I sure hope he wasnt celebrating his 22nd. That would make him an over-overager, thus being an illegal player. Hope David Branch doesn't catch word of the Generals illegal player fiasco, could mean a big fine directed at Gens management. On the other hand, Belleville did it for a few seasons, when the 30-something Richard Park played for them back in 96.

It's about time Goodwin resigned. He was so mean to all the players. He used to swear at them in front of everyone. If a player was having an off game he would humiliate them in front of the whole team and all the fans behind the bench that could hear him including me. It used to piss me off royaly. Come to think of it I don't think he was every really calm on that bench unless the boys were winning by atleast two. He was so mean to the guys. Well atleast he brought them above 500

Neither Joe or Curtis are suppose to be taking over the head coach position. Joe doesn't have enough time to do a head position and they say that Curtis is too young and too inexperienced to do the job. I wish that Joe would take the new role too. He seems to be a good assistant coach and if he had the time he would probably make a great head coach. They also said that they wanted someone who would take the coaching and GM spot. I hope they get someone good. Dolson was on Plugged In last week and he said it would be like playing for a whole new team next year if the hired someone new.

really believe what you just posted??? I can't believe this !@#$ are u talking about the 1999 ----- "CHL" EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR ----- Jeff Hunt who won the cup last year and is poised to give it another shot this year??? No it couldn't be. And as far as Jeff Twohey and the Peterborough Petes sucking well my friend have you forgotten that in 1996 it was Oshawa that really sucked "BIG TIME" the Petes didn't suck until 1997 --- you know the year you guys had the passenger stuffing, dictator coach in the form of Mr. Stewart. FYI 96was the year that the Petes "Cameron Mann" received the Smythe trophy for being MVP of the Mem Cup series, and Mike Williams received the Parsons trophy for MSP -- you know just 3 years after the 93 Mem cup apparance when Jason Dawe received it?? My, how soon we forget -- oh no, thats right the Generals havn't had a Mem Cup series trophy issued to a player since "Ian Fraser in 1990. I forget, Have the Gens even been to the big dance since BIG ERIC (you know --- the headache guy) was in Junior?? My, how time flys and how all we can remember are things that are self servent to the discussion at the time. "THAT SHOE ---- as you can see --- CAN BE MADE TO FIT ANY FOOT. SO STOP TRYING TO GET THE LITTLE BUNNIES GOING, you are of higher stature than this.

I think that a lot of the players had great playoff games. I agree with the both of you when you say that Vladi and Greg played well. I also think that Brent Gauvrea played extreamly well (3points in 5 games) considering he just broke his thumb. Nick Lees had that one game where he scored two goals (I had to mention that because he is my favorite player) but he didn't play "up to his capability" I don't know, the whole team did a pretty good job.
As for Vladi the poor kid goes out and puts his heart and soul into every game. Then he gets a shit kickin' about a hundred times a game. I love how he just comes back for more. He deserves a lot more respect then he gets. If he did get bigger he could so make it to the NHL, but it's because he's so small that he would just get killed. I love that kid.

Well, I agree with you, pnu, Vladi did have a great series as well as Greg Willers, who is an overager along with fellow blueliner, Ilya Demidov. Demi has been signed with Ottawa Senators for a multi-year deal, but I'm not sure of where Willers will end up. I'm really hoping Repnev will be back, but he is available to the NHL and could be picked up or at least be invited to attend a training camp with an NHL team. He's going to have to beef up a little over the off season though. He's only 5'10'' and 166lbs!

I agree with you, but Lance wasn't the only one putting on an act. Whenever a Gens player would do the least of touching one of the 67's, they would pratically throw themselves at the ice, and pretend to be hurt. That's probably how they won so many games, with undeserved power plays.
Posted on Apr 3, 2000, 8:01 PM from IP address 205.188.192.27
If your talking about the match penalty to Bryan Allen, that wasn't his fault. Match penalty is for intent to injure. I don't think he intended to hurt Malcom. If you saw the hit, the ref sent Allen to the box. he was going to give Allen 5 minutes then he saw that Malcom was really hurt (you can't be too sure with the 67s they like to fake everything) that's when he gave Allen the match penalty. If you remember earlier in the season this was the same dumb fuck ref that said Spence bit that guy from London. After that got reviewed by the OHL it was thrown out. So there you go.
Posted on Apr 3, 2000, 4:32 PM from IP address 198.73.213.96
I know exactly what you mean. The Petes suck so much and all these people from Peterborough think that they are so good. I know what you mean when you say that they're hicks too. Savard was one of the greatest players to ever play for the Gens so if antone is cutting him up they should stop and think about it first the next time. Look at him now in Calgary too. He's amazing there too. The petes fans are just stupid and they can't recodnize talent when they see it
