All I ask is that you don't bash others for their opinion. We all have one and are all entitled to one!
What chu talkin' 'bout Willers???
by Tracey Janes (no login)
Some fan you are, you can't even spell his name right...it's Passmore..no excuse me Pissmore!!!And i don't see what he did to highly contribute to the team. Greg is WAY more talented than Brian!!!
And where do you come off acting like you knooow him? Lacking a lot as a person?? Are you his siter or something? And, honey...you're wrong..he does impress me, and he happens to be one of my favourite players!
Oh, yeah...maybe if you hit that 'Caps Lock' button on your keyboard, then we can actually being to take you seriously...or as seriously as we can!

Yeah the GENS did take a lot og shit on Sunday but the Majors did have an intention. There coach told them that this game would help determine who would make the team next year. This must have caused frustration with many on the team. Although this is no excuse I believe that is why. Re: the John Kozoriz for MV Forward....I'll have to disagree. Don't get me wrong he's doing awesome but this is sparked more as of late in the season although Gauvreau has had his down points I think maybe him or possibly Ralph??..for the award. Definately a good choice for Rookie. T.J. has shown great effort and confidence throughout his first year for the Gens and definately a great contribution next year!

Yes, i agree with you 'chillin', that John Kozoriz should of gotten the most valuable forward award. He may not of got as many goals as Brent, but he plays hard, and is an all round outstanding player. Also, I think it was a good choice with the most valuable defenseman award, Ilya Demidov definitly deserved that.
I agree once again, that TJ did have an excellent game...taking two assists!!! Way to go boyz!!!!!

DID ya miss me??
I think n e 1 that bashes these guys is pretty weak in themselves! At least he was good enough to make it to the OHL!! O.K. I'll be fair to u bashers when u get ur asses out of the stands and you make it to the NHL. These guys give up there valuable teen years to play for assholes like u that bash them till no end and I think that is predominantly wrong! T.J. has proved he can play in the O and it is obvious he's not the best and he needs work but he gets out there every night and shows what he has got! So what if h doesn't make it to the OHL (most of these guys won't)
When u get out on the ice and show me that ur better than T.J. or any of the other guys then maybe you can argue with me that u know a little bit about what ur talking about!

at had TJ getting the first pen. of the first period, Pos got his only pen at the first of the second period and Dem got the last pen of the first, third and last pen of the 2nd and the last pen of the third period. TJ did get the 10 min misconduct close to games end for hugging too tightly though.
Sorry -- NO FIGHTING FROM TJ ON THIS NIGHT.

you watching? Reynolds is a sack of oats (half-a-sack full). To start with he didn't get in the fight of the game it was a hugging match which he got a 10 min misconduct for not a 5 min fighting pen. and the only other thing I seen him do was get the first penelty of the game for tripping. You really must go back to the other board.

Give TJ a break. Lay off the kid, cuz he's playin' here and you're not! Why don't you, (TJ Sucks) pick on someone on the same sort of wavelength as you are...maybe the paperboy or the pizza delivery guy!!!
I agree with you Tracey Janes, he's a "potentially" good player, with a lot of spark. There is a lot of room for improvement, but that's what the junior league is all about. He has been given the chance to play hockey at a highly competative level where he will be playing with more experienced players. He WILL learn, he WILL improve!!!

What an idiot you are, you obviously don't know what to hell your talking about. Did you not stop to think before you made either of your posts? Listen stupid, Cherry is not the prob. The coach lost control of the players shortly after the pre-season games -- you can't change the coach in mid stream and expect the players to all of a sudden become changed people and start listening to somebody else. This year is screwed for them and not because of Cherry but because of the coaching and the player attitudes. Why would you kick this team when they are feeling as low as they must feel already. O.K. idiot, put yourself on this team and see how you would feel when you look in the stands. Don't forget they didn't ask to be on this team -- they just want a chance to get to the NHL. LIGHTEN UP DUMMIE. THE OSHAWA GENERALS ARE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE STANDING IN OUR DIVISION AS WELL. Ralph and Spezza would make a good pair.

Good idea, something should be done to rid the team of this idiot,,,,if he is the prob.,,,,which in fact he might not be, so far the only stupid thing he has really done is to forego the import draft. you can't build a team around 1 guy, and you must aquire those all important 1st 2nd and 3rd draft picks -- even the import draft picks (after all they are 1-2 & 3 for a reason, there good) play them for a couple of years then trade when you can get something for them. Take a close look at the coach, the top 3 point getters are an average of -134 on the +/- scale. This tells me that they are setting their own game plan in the locker room and it is not working. They arn't playing for this coach.

So Savard had it in him to make a baby, to bad he didn't have the guts to get married and give the little bastard a name. Rocky would be able to tell you. While you are talking to Rocky have the word passed along to Savard that only spineless people create babies out of wedlock thus having to grow up being called a bastard kid. (Which of coarse is what it will be called ---- The little BASTARD Savard).
Posted on Feb 15, 2000, 1:12 PM from IP address 24.226.32.125
Mark Savard sniveled ( sp ) more points that I can state. Didn't you see that. He was forever pointing to the number of the back of his shirt in front of the ref, or having them change the assist later. Come on.. Don't get me wrong I like Mark Savard and think he is a "great" hockey player but geeezzzz aren't you going a little far.
Players like Darryl Lafrance did just as much as Savy..
P.S. Has his "girlfriend" had her baby yet ??

When was the last time you super duper team won the league title? Nice Memorial Cup win last year, must feel good seeing as you won what, one round last year? Gotta love it when the Mem Cup champions sat at home for a month, while all of the deserving teams had to grind it out in the playoffs. Who is your big star? Alyn McSpacehelmet McCauley?? Nice choke job you pull EVERY YEAR. Gens faced the 67's head to head in 97...Gens won, led by the great Marc Savard. Face it, 67's are a joke when it comes to winning the big games

I have to agree with you completly, even about Savard on this one. I always thought that OHL stood for ONTARIO HOCKEY LEAGUE and CHL for CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE. What is the percentage ratios of OVERSEAS/US players vs CANADIAN players? Anybody know? And how do you get U.S. based teams in our leagues, don't make sence to me, just now they will change the name to the NAHL (North Americam Hockey League). You only think you have dilution now -- what then?
Posted on Jan 27, 2000, 9:04 PM from IP address 24.226.32.125
Savard will NEVER be inducted into the hall of fame. Why do you keep throwiing out names of PETES like Cameron Mann? we all know where he is, why don't you talk about players like say CAPTAIN CHRIS PRONGER OF THE ST. LOUIS BLUES or CAPTAIN STEVE YZERMAN OF THE DETROIT RED WINGS or the RETIRED WAYNE GRETZKY PAST CAPTAIN OF the EDMONTON OILERS, L.A. KINGS, ST. LOUIS BLUES, and THE NEW YORK RANGERS. ----- NOW ----- EAT A LITTLE CROW AND STOP WINEING, MY GOD !!!! YOU SOUND LIKE SAVARD EVERY TIME HE GOT CHECKED INTO THE BOARDS. He is the only player I ever seen talk/wine and complain to the refs. for an average of 15-17 minutes of every game aginest the PETES. oh by the way McCauley was twice the OHL player.
Posted on Jan 25, 2000, 5:24 PM from IP address 24.226.32.125
Holy cow, you just showed that the Petes produce better players than the Gens. I mean, who wants Eric Lindros, Bobby Orr, Marc Savard, and Dave Andreychuck just to name a few. Let's not forget about skid row Zac "sit on my knees" Bierk. He is a great Petes goalie, I would much rather have him over Jeff Hackett or Freddie "should have been an all-ster" Brathwaite. And who can forget the great Cameron Mann, he has led the Bruins to the bottom of the Eastern Conference, while Savvy only is the 3rd leading scorer on the playoff bound Flames. You are correct, Peterborough is soooo good. Tie Domi has won so many scoring championships, I can't count them all.
Posted on Jan 25, 2000, 10:27 AM from IP address 24.112.158.238
David Roche, Dick Todd, and Tie Domi. You have indirectly embarrassed the Petes organization. (if it was possible to embarrass them any more) Im sure thats not the best that you could do. By the way, who has more OHL Championships?
P.S. - I don't think any Gens fans have ever bragged about the Civic Auditorium, but atleast we can afford an entire arena. Rather than 3/4 of one.

C-Dog I watched the game also and I have to agree with you on everything on this subject however, Stewart don't have to keep them in control as they will do whatever he says. He coaches like a dictator and for some reason zombies listen and follow. They end up winning but later when they go home and are all alone -- totally alone and by themselves -- there mind says WE WON!!! WE WON !!!
but look how dirty we had to play to get here. This is the raw truth they have to live with throughout their career. Like the old west and the people who rode with Iverson.

in playoffs the goalie is most valuable. when i've watched this goalie he's never stood on his head. i really dont think barrie will go far. my opinion. thanks

When all of you fans out there are watching the Ottawa 67s blow out the Hull Olympiques this weekend, you can all thank Jeff Hunt, and his servant David Branch for it. Id much rather be watching Belleville and Barrie, but I guess the first 2 minutes of this game will be good. That being the only time the game will be tied. Whats next Cherry getting a Mississauga game on. Oh wait, he did.

Intra-league could have been a world wide success..now, futile
by Rocky (no login)
I must state that it is really stupid for the CHL to be considering intra-league play now. They had their chance to make it work a few years ago, but now its too late. The only reason this would have worked, is so that the other leagues would get a chance to see the greatest Canadian junior player of all time, Marc Savard. I mean, it could have been great. All of these rinks across Canada would have been able to see this god like talent, which otherwise would have been impossible. Imagine the circus like atmosphere when he came to town? It would have been bigger than when Michael Jordan would visit cities. They should have even gone further than an intra-league schedule, they should have done intra-continent scheduling. I mean, if the idea is to sell the game of hockey across the globe, who better to do that then Marc Savard? All of those Europeans and Asians would have been exposed to this great talent, and would have taken to the game of hockey. #27 jerseys would have been available in eery country in the world. However, the CHL missed its chance. Savard has gone on to world wide recognition and stardom, but the CHL has not cashed in on it. The league should have done a better job at recognizing a talent that has never been, or never will be equalled. For the CHL to attempt this now would be disaster, as the backlash from these cities that didn't get to see Savvy years ago will be enraged, as they should be. Attendance would suffer as fans show their displeasure, and hockey in Canada would be in jeopardy. But, with his appointment of head of the CHA, Marc Savard could likely solve this problem. But, I urge David Branch not to let this happen. Stop this intra-league non-sense, and instead use your time and efforts to educate Canada on the great career of Marc Savard, and study exactly what allowed him to be the dominant force he is, both on the ice, and in our hearts.

well i dont always agree with you ,but i think your right on this one .Maybe during the pre season they could do some of that .One point that i take issue with is the money comment , that is the basic problem with the gennies...Mr Humpreys wont spend money on the team ...thats why goody still has a real job(cause he has to feed his family)to pay the bills ....windsor went the cheap route for years and look where they went (no where). Then last year the owner coughed up some serios coin to get Mike Kelly back from the calgary organization(125,000 yr)and he in turn bring Tom Webster back from the pro leagues, they will be a team to watch very soon.like they say you pay peanuts ...you get monkeys.

It was the Colts responsibility to get the fax in, not the Generals!!!!
They (colts) were more than 10min. late, obviously they didn't want Colley to badly!!
