SOME THOUGHTS

Maybe after Savard becomes a houshold name the Gens will retire his sweater ,in the mean time dont blamePassmore blame the trainer in charge and Gens staff for not putting #27 on ice for a spell.Heck while im here i might as well say that it amazes me the Gens have the sucess they do given that Goodwin has no set lines, and im sorry but #20 gets way too much ice...looks tired out there half the time.Nothing like stopping behind the net for a breather so the opposition canmake sure all your wingers are covered....oh well might as well skate with it......The coach cant even let the defence get familiar with each other. An one more thing the defence on this team is not so bad ....putting the puck in the net seems to be a challange...especially if you dont know your line mates....why didnt Goodwin make it in the NHL?

Rocky and I are pretty much joking about the whole Marc Savard thing. We are just trying to get some life back into this message board, and its worked!

You know all eh? Well, it seems to me that you haven't said one factual bit of information to back up your claim. If you go through and read my, and C-dog's posts, I think you will have your handsful trying to outwit us. You are glad to try however, many have tried before and none have been victorious. As for C-dog and I being the same person, you are gravely mistaken. If you just ask chillin for our ip addresses, I think you will find us to be two seperate, yet equally brilliant people, who share the same sort of views on the best hockey player ever to lace up the blades, Marc Savard.

I love the guys who show up with new names and act like its their first post. One who knows all is obviously a gutless punk who for some reason doesnt want his old name displayed. Chillin can clear this whole thing up. One who knows all, KNOWS NOTHING.

To tell you the god's honest truth, I am not c-dog. I understand how you might think this, but he is my best friend and feels the same way about the Generals and Marc Savard as I do. If you don't believe you could ask me for our respective email addresses. Once again, you have a good point, but I must disappoint you. I swear on Marc Savard's life that Rocky and C-dog are not the same person. Is this evidence enough? What can we do to show you that we are two different people? Remember, Rocky and C-Dog rule this webpage

Hey Buddy.
Instead of playing "make believe", why not write comments that actually deal with the teams progress and not your fucking dream. I mean lets be realistic!! What this about some 4th liner being a plug. The only plug I see is you. Savard is no longer on the team. Who cares who wears what number. I mean lots of players come and go, and their numbers get passed along. Savvy was good and all, but give your head a shake!!!
Before you write any more messages, please think, your an insult to yourself and your taking away from this site.

What are you talking about. Bill "The Great" Stewart never threw a stick against the Petes. You obviously havent been much of a supporter if you think Stewart threw a stick. There goes your credibility. He refused to shake hands with the petes, and rightly so, he was protecting his team from possible suspension if a brawl happened on the ice. Something you said the coaches were unable to do. Dont post here anymore, youre a disgrace to a real General fan like myself. Every team needs a Bill Stewart, you obviously havent seen his salary, thats pretty much indictive of what kind of a coach he is. Why dont you just go cheer for the Petes, you obviously have something against the Gens.

Face it, this happens every year. Sure they won it all last year, but needed home ice to do it. You don't see the Gens waiting to host the Mem cup before winning it now do you? Great regular seasons mean nothing if you don't do it in the playoffs. Just ask the Buffalo Bills.

Yes the 67s are great in the past couple of years but in a stretch of 15 years they could only win 2 JRRobertsons, whereas the Gens won 4 cups in a 13 year period. HMMMM, and didnt the Gens beat Ottawa for their last cup. 6 games it took didnt it. I may not be a scholar in mathmatics but I wouldnt trade 2 OHL championships for 4. That would be stupid.

How do you know this is a fact? Has it been printed in Enclopedia Britannica? Is it approved by me? If not, then it is not a fact. Has anyone in the organization publically acknowledged this cover-up? You are a rather disturbed individual, and should spend your time working on the Kennedy assasination

Here is the simple reason the players are not reporting, they are upset with the team and Brian Passmore. Obviously there hero is Marc Savard and the fact his number is being worn by a non-impact player is upsetting to them. It is totally understandable. I wouldn't report either. Savard's number should be retired immediately, with a parade and statue part of the ceremony.

You're an idiot. Why would you think the info is incorrect. Do the Gens want to protect the secret identities of the players. Of course not, if that info is done incorrectly, what makes you think that any info would be. In your entire message you failed to make any sense, and I feel amazed that a person with as little knowledge as yourself could possibly be interested in making a book, let alone interested in writing something.

I find it upsetting that the Generals would let go of such a storied number. #27s accomplishments
for the Gens is statistically unmatched. 88 and 2 would not dare be given away yet 27 is quickly brushed aside without an afterthought. Until now.

do you ex gen fan have any idea what you are talking about? chris moher was -6 after 4 games is that goodwins fault? kevin colley wants more money and less rules then the generals can provide is this goodwins fault? drew bucktooth is looking to get a lacrosse scholarship and was never 100 percent committed to hockey the way you have to be to play successfully in this league goodwins fault again i presume.peters all show no go, don't worry if you miss seeing him this year he will be back as an overager next year, buffalo have no interest in him anymore.. 4 draft picks that never reported is goodwin part of the scouting staff? does he know any of these players ?? wayne daniels left to go the nhl isn't that where everyone wants to go???? goodwin gets more out of his team year in and year out then any coach in the league with very little support from the negative fans of oshawa or the scouting staff so know the facts before you go on talking about stuff that you have no idea about.

You think that Ryan Cirillo was awesome and Richard Scott nothing? Understand before I go further that Ryan was one of the players that my son and I enjoyed watching the most.
Having said that...let's get real!
Ryan Cirillo had a regular season of 7 goals and 20 assists and a (+-)of -5. Awesome defensive skills??? He had a playoff result against Kingston of 0 goals and 4 assists and a (+-) of
-3. Amazing series against Kingston???
Richard Scott on the other hand had a regular season consisting of 12 goals and 12 assists with a (+-) of +13! Hmm, that's not bad is it??!!?? In the playoffs he recorded 1 goal and 3 assists with a (+-) of +5. Also not bad.
Richard also successfully policed the zone on behalf of the entire team. He and Trvor Gillies may not have been the most elequent players in the league they were needed and are missed this year!
I don't want to be offensive but what are you talking about???

I totally, agree with you on this one. Everyone keeps saying that Goodwin is the greatest guy, but if he's so wonderful then why do we keep having players that refuse to play for him. As you stated there must be something going on that we the fans aren't aware of. He's a good coach, but maybe not just for these players then. There is obviously a link missing between players and coach that needs to be fixed. Now I disagree with the Bucktooth and Peters sucked thing, I thought both players had potential(sp) to be good players. Now that may have little or no realivence to Goodwin or not I don't know, but their not showing does. As for Chris Moher he was here at the beginning of the season, but I think only played a few games before being sent back down I think. He wasn't very good so maybe with another year of work he will improve and be ready to play with the Gens next season. And Colley, what happened there? I heard of the problems between himself and Goodwin, but I never saw him as the player to be so stern, slightly impressive that he'd take a stand, but still if this is going to cost him sitting out for the season then that's just plan stupid. Anyways, that's just my view on the subject. Good-Luck to ever figuring out junior hockey, because I doubt that I ever will. Politics are everywhere!

The players are used to interviews and just tell
them you are doing player profiles and are interested in any info that's not available in
the official press info. You might get some great stuff.

Well I have a lot to say but i wont say it all because it will take too long. Now Chillin i have to disagree with you, in that it was the best thing that could have happened to the Generals on this a rebuilding year!
The Gens needed something to put people in the seats on what would be a very quiet season. And people have been coming and it has made a difference.
Second it also made other teams afraid to go up against us! It made them fear us! BOO YA!
and now since that amazing game people have been attending and the Gens are playing great! with i believe only one loss since the fight, but am not sure. Now i know who u are but ill only give you a clue to who i am! hehehe
whats that your gay!?!?!
ya you got it.
it was amazing to see and you know it!
It made you excited and you wanted it to happen again and it has made you wanna come to the games even more!
well it has for me!
and every time there is a fight i just want to see some sticks flying!
L8R big guy!

have fun trying to find a generals fan. But I do know where you can get all the players profiles. Try a game program. Or maybe the Official site of the generals.

No facts here, just an opinion. Peters is one of the most popular players in recent years. Probably because of his toughness. It can’t be because of his skills. He’s just not up to snuff. His numbers aren’t good. I hear he’s upset about his ice time last year. But if you are the coach, you play the guys that are going to help the team. For me, he was a major disappointment, even more than Allen and Bucktooth. They should trade him. Maybe they can find a team that thinks as highly of him as Buffalo did and get something for him. The fact that it hasn’t been done yet might mean there are no takers. We’ll see how this unfolds. One thing for sure, he’s not helping himself.

When I find myself in times of trouble big bad Derek comes to me, calling on various players, let it be. All though they may be bigger, Dennis will come save his ass, shoving them into the boards...let it be!

Under suggestion of the runner of the Unofficial Oshawa Generals Discussion Board, I have changed this board to an Uncensored Generals Board fo rthe duration of the hockey season. Now at the risk of being unpopular, Uncensored does not mean you can come in her and say whatever the **** (get the idea?) you want. I have a few guidelines; don't put othe posters down-everyone is entitled to their opinion, as you are yours, but please, it saves a lot of heartache, and I hate the word/phrase f*c* and I absolutely dispise any pre, or sub fixes with that word. With the use of this word, you will recieve a warning, then your IP WILL be blocked. Thanks, and lets keep the threds going.
Yours in Hockey,
Chillin

Vlady will be around for at least a few more days as the team still tries to sort out the overage/european problem. as of last night, he was not going anywhere yet

Poor game to watch, but you have to expect it with all the rookies in the line-up trying to make the team. The only excitement of the game was when the Petes Jesse MacLeish (only 17) knocked the crap out of third year player Reynolds#3. Needless to say Reynolds is going to need a few stiches. The Gens had better watch out for MacLeish, he is one tough kid. He'll probably take on another Gens victim this Thursday night in Peterborough.
