1968 front speaker removal

by

How do I remove my front dash speaker from my 1968 mustang? Remove the radio and pull it through that hole or will it pull directly down toward the driver or passenger side?
thanks

66 Mustang Convertible, what's its value?

by

I recently found a 100% restoration (mint appearing) 66 Mustang convertible with the pony interior and a 289 auto for $25K. The car has straight sides and looks factory-fresh. Can anyone tell me it's worth? Has a GT package, but not an original GT car. Has auto trans, no AC. I can email pics if it will help...

Appreciate the help.

Tom

Convertable pricing

by

That price is at the high end. I just spent 3 days at the RM auctions in Novi, MI and most convertables went under 20K. Just my opinion. Check out NADA and take about 20% lower to get real world pricing. Also do a nationwide search on Traderonline for that exact year and see what people are asking...again take about 20% off that to get real world pricing.

66 Convertible

by

I've got a 66 Convertible A code car that is probably very similiar to the one you're looking at. Mine is for sale at $21k, however the real value depends on how restored it is (cosmetic, mechanical, or both). $25k is high but it might be worth it. You can call me at 707 360-2428 if you want to discuss.

re: 1966 Mustang Fastback A Code Wimbleton White FS 26,000obo Show Car

by

1966 Ford Mustang
Fastback Mustang
1966 Fastback Mustang

For sale is this beautifully restored 1966 A code fastback Mustang.

The exterior is dressed in a professionally applied Wimbledon white coat which goes well with the many chrome accents throughout the car.

The interior is also decorated in chrome. Red vinyl bucket seats are also a desired option which compliments the rest of the recently restored red interior.

Under the hood is a show quality display of the powerplant. This 289ci with a 4 bbl carburetor is driven by a floor shifted automatic transmission.

The combination of every aforementioned detail along with the straight lines of the body and heritage that goes with a classic Mustang make for the total package.

performance through a new carb? i need help.

by

i have a 65 mustang with the 200 straight six. as you know this doesnt have much power at all. i need a new carburetor but i want to put in a bigger one to boost the performance of the car. the only thing stopping me from this is the adapter plate. i need a plate with a bigger bore to fit a bigger carburetor but at the same time i need the bolt patterns to match with the previous plate. does anyone know where i can find one? or even if they make it?

65 coupe engine colors

by

looked at a 65 coupe with 6 cylinder motor. Was shown in Mustang Times (front cover) in mid 80's, but I'm confused about the color of the valve cover. The color is orange red rather than blue. Is this correct, I like the car but I'm wondering why its not blue, anyone help me with this. Rest of the car appears fine, price is $6000, what do you think?

Question about exhaust

by

Just picked up a 66 Mustang yesterday. We noticed that the floorboards become extremely hot after just a short drive. Is this due to the exhaust pipes being right underneath the floorboards? Are there heat shield I can install to cut down on the heat? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
