I am trying to tune a stock flow loop on a paper machine using PI control. What happens to loop response when P or I is changed in the negative and positive direction. P is currently set to .650 and I is .50 and seems to be doing well. I would like to increase the rate at which the error is returned to setpoint. Also, the feedback coming into the system is from a mag flow meter with a dampening of 7 of a 0-49 range and the input to my system is filtered .990 of a 0-1 range, does this sound normal for this type of noisy loop?
