Despite public opinion polls which show the public wants illegal immigration contained, our elected representatives do little to nothing to meaningfully stem the tide. It is estimated that around 20,000 illegal aliens cross the Tucson, AZ sector every day, and that's just one area. An exception to the pandering to agriculture and the Hispanic vote is Representative Tom Tancredo of Colorado, who is a proponent in reflecting the desires of the people (Golly, what an idea--a Congressman representing the interests of American citizens). Jobs losses for teens are more dramatic than in the early 1980s' recession, and this summer is expected to be the worst since the end of World War II. The reasons: Companies are more likely to hire unemployed adults, seniors and new immigrants for entry-level jobs that have traditionally gone to teens.
I saw this back in February on Hannity and Colmes. San Francisco County supervisor Gerardo Sandoval tried to convince viewers that the term "illegal immigrant" was a racial slur on the same level as the "n" word. I was banging my head against the wall at the man's obtuseness at about the same time that Hannity was getting ready to pull his own hair out.

HANNITY: Why would it be -- why would you compare that accurate, truthful adjective with somebody who breaks the law. They're just saying you're here illegally. I mean, how do you go from there to the "n" word? That's insane.
SANDOVAL: Well, because there are lots of laws that are being broken and to suggest -- no disrespect for the law -- suggests that the laws are not legitimate.
HANNITY: No, but if you break the law, you're illegal. You're an illegal immigrant. You're not a legal immigrant. You're an illegal immigrant...
...It is a matter of respect for this country's laws, respect for our sovereignty, and it is not -- for you to compare this to the "n" word, it diminishes the offensiveness of that term and real racism.
SANDOVAL: A hundred years ago that term was not considered offensive. Today clearly it is, and in 100 years or less, you'll see that "illegal alien," that term "illegal" and...
HANNITY: Political correctness will not go this far. Nobody agrees with you. I mean, only the far, far extreme left. It's not going to -- this is crazy.
I think Sandoval reflects why the immigration problem is so bad. Instead of trying to keep illegal aliens from entering the country, we have people who say we can't call them by a term for what they are and insist that we provide water tanks in the desert so that they won't be thirsty when they break our laws.
When you type the "n" word, are you somehow misspelling the word "******"? If we're not all going to be bullied by the PC crowd, maybe someone should actually start using the word "******". After all, when I skip by MTV I see black people using the word all the time. They don't seem to be ashamed of it.
Perhaps Caucasians should pick some words that black people shouldn't be allowed to say, because we find it insulting. How about the word "white"? It is innocuous, but so common that I'm sure that it will find ample room as a standard for being violated. Every time a black person uses the term "white" people, we can get offended and accuse that person of racism. I'm a Scot-American, what's the matter, do all us Caucasians look alike to him/her? How insulting!!

There is no need for critical thought, because your views are just as valid as mine. I "feel" that it is okay to have an abortion, so that makes it okay. Don't put your medieval-era views on me! This is the nineties--er, the, what is this decade...it doesn't matter! Everybody knows that 3,000 years of Judeo-Christian morality has only brought pain and suffering to this world!
If you try to tell me I am committing a sin, then you are just being a fascist fundamentalist Christian (yeah, I don't know what they look like, but they are the cause of all our problems.) No, I don't know what a fascist is, because my history teacher skipped all wars (war is always bad) and only taught us about the good times in history, like the Enlightenment. But I know Bush is much worse than that Hitler guy!
Oh, and like any smart person knows, 9/11 was OUR fault. If we weren't so mean to the poor wittle defenseless Arabs, then they wouldn't have had to kill 3,000 civilians to let us know how we hurt their feelings. It's all our fault, I tell you!

Totalization Treaty With Mexico -- The Sellout of America Continues

A year ago, this organization warned that the Bush Administration was planning to do something unthinkable - they were seriously considering signing a pact with Mexico that would give any Mexican who had worked in the U.S., including illegal aliens, full U.S. Social Security benefits, paid out of your Social Security Trust Fund!
It seemed so far fetched, we had trouble convincing the Congress that it could happen. A White House spokesman denied our claim that it was on a fast track, stating the ongoing discussions for Totalization were just informal and preliminary.
But we knew better. We had obtained correspondence proving it was on a fast track and had seen plans for erecting a huge new building at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City just to deal with the swarms of people anticipated to sign-up for this raid on our Social Security Trust Fund.
Well, it was on fast track, just as we said it was and a few weeks ago, the President signed the Totalization Treaty with Mexico and unless you and I can persuade the Congress to stop it, millions of Mexicans, including illegal aliens, will soon be living it up on your Social Security benefits!
The timing for repealing this outrageous treaty couldn't be worse. The few days we have to repeal this treaty are the same few days preceding the November election, when every Congressmen is campaigning hard for reelection and the Congress is seldom in session. In short, it was a very underhanded way to sneak a terrible treaty past the Congress.
