Recently while reading article about Diane Whipple, the woman who was mauled to death by two pit bulls a couple of years ago, I stumbled on a website that almost made me fall out of my chair in disbelief. Now I am a straight woman wife and mother, I am not realy on one side or the other on homosexuality, or gay marriage. I believe that as long as a person is good to others and has a good heart, there sexual prefference is none of my concern, life is to short to protest and try to tell people who they are allowed to fall in love with. Anyways, I saw a website www.godhatesfags.com and stared at it wondering if this was for real. To curious to turn away, I clicked on it to find something that made my blood boil, my stomach turn and want to scream in disbelief that humans can be so ignorant.
This website had a eternal clock ticking to count the days Diane ( a 33 year old woman, a talented marathon runner, and just happened to be a lesbian ) has been dead and "burning in hell". These idiots have her picture with flames on it thanking god for sending the dogs to maul her to death, stating she deserved to die, her familiy deserves to die, and so much more hateful things I could never make my hand type. As I more on this web site, that is from a church in Kansas, they had a list of FAQ, that I had to read, when I did I realized these people are the lowest of low, I didn't know there are actually people in this day and age with mentality. I will only tell you a few of their "beliefs" because I don't think can take much more. They thank god for 9/11 because it taught us a lesson, that god is mad at the homosexuals. They thank god for the tsunami becaues the people even the children deserved to die. They even went so far as to protest the swedish survivors, saying swedens are petefiles. These poor excuses for humans protest with banners saying "Thank God for 9/11"
What is wrong with people today? I believe everybody has a right to their opinions, you can be against homosexuality and gay marraige, but this is absolutly insane, I can't believe this "church" would promote such hate among our own kind. God is loving, God is kind, God shows us miracles everyday, God does not hate. I think I would have lost it if I couldn't have vented about this site, I just hope people will see this and realize life is to short to hate each other.
