I am a former VERY conservative Christian turned agnostic and as I like to say on my way to becoming an athiest. Despite that fact, I attend church regularly with my husband (who is the son of a preacher man) for the sake of harmony in our marriage. Neil, being brought up Jewish, but not necessarily a practicing Jew married Marcia, a Christian and the two blended their cultural beliefs. That leads to a pretty diverse mindset as well as gene pool, in my opinion. Then, living in California at the time JLS was written and taking a few college music classes, helped Neil's world-view broaden even further. Having lived in several countries and almost every state in the USA has also broadened my views also. So, I think I know a little about diversity. I also have taken several college classes in comparitive religion and the humanities and hopefully can see the "big picture" as far as it relates to mankind and its various cultural perspectives. I think Neil, much like John Lennon and George Harrison in particular, was also exploring the various world views when he wrote JLS and other songs.
