help please

Hi All... I'm in the process of a big ordeal and would really appreciate anyones help, feedback support (anything really!!) I'm 24..... a few months ago a lump appeared on my vagina, it was painless so I ignored it. In January it became painful, I went to my docs and she prescribed antibiotics, thinking it was a blocked follicle of some sort. The antibitoics didn't work, two days later after MUCH pain I was admitted for surgery. The abscess was absolultely HUGE. The gyno did not tell me what he was going to do, nor did he examine me beforehand. I woke up and all they could tell me was I had a blocked batholins gland. Two weeks later another lump started I went right back to my doctor who has put me a double dose of antibitoics. It abscessed again (no where near as extreme as previously) last week but has settled down in the last two days, after I spent most of yesterday in the mergnecy department at the hospital. I have an appointment with the gyno who did the surgery tomorrow to find out what he did (I had about four cms of stitches internally). I am due to leave for Europe in four weeks (I am Australian) to do an intership in Russia. Should I postpone my trip?? Has the surgeon done the wrong thing? Also since having surgery I have been really sick, throat infection flue etc and very emotional I keep crying.... ??? any help??
