Response to Another one |

Hi,
I have had 4 Bartholin abscesses, this last one was on the turn from being a cyst so I managed to get into hospital as an emergency. They advised that as it was a recurring problem I should have it marsupialised. It is a small operation and I was out the same day, with no pain at all. I had the op on Friday morning and by Friday night I was walking, sitting, even running without any pain. They can only do the marsup when the cyst/abscess is present so if you have one now then you should probably go for it rather than wait. As the abscess is drained at the same time as the op, you can avoid the horrific pain and waiting for it to burst.
Good luck, I totally understand your fear of getting another one as I have been through it four times and I know it's no joke.
