| Howcan gland removal not work?!May 31 2006 at 12:09 PM | Laurie (no login) from IP address 86.138.222.32 | |
| Hi everyone,
Had the marsup on friday as I posted in my last message, everything is fine at the moment. Healing well I think with sea salt baths and garlic tablets. I have read a few posts that have bothered me. How can the removal of the gland fail to stop the problem? If there is no gland for the abscess to form from, how can it happen? I know they often form in the duct, but this seems really strange that full removal doesn't work. I'm not a doctor or anything but doesn't this indicate that the problem may be nothing to do with the gland itself? Maybe it is something else that effects the gland.
God, I just wish we had some answers for this problem. There is nothing published that is really descriptive or in depth on the causes of these abscesses. It really bothers me that no one, including so called specialists, can predict ANTYHING the gland will respond to.
Can anyone who has had the gland removed and suffered with more abscesses please get back to me on their experiance and what they have been told? I'll just feel totally gutted if I get another abscess after this marsup. I'm only 21 and aldready have had 4 abscesses since december. I can't deal with this for the rest of my life.
Thanks,
Laurie | |
