I have had 3 marsupilisations and yet another recurrence.....sigh....I am considering an excision but I am very scared.
The doctor that performed the third surgery had no idea of what he was doing and left me very sliced and diced. My labia minora tore as a result of the mess he made and it took months for the pain to subside.
My new doctor is very well respected and is considered the vulva expert in the area. He performed my third marsupilisation about 2 years ago. I had awful pain every time I was aroused for at least one year after the surgery. This could be a result of the scar tissue left by the first doctor. The area still wells every time I even kiss someone!
The swelling is really pronounced again. It is uncomfortable but thank goodness for small mercies....not painful.
An excision is recommended but I am afraid that I may end up worse off then I am now.
Any advice from women who have had an excision would be greatly appreciated. How long did it take to heal and any complicationsespecially about long term pain?
I would just like to feel normal again!
Thanks :>
