Hello Ladies!! I am 26 years old, and feeling livid!!!! I was diagnosed with a bartholins cyst three years ago and I did have all the other procedures( cathers, sitz baths, marsuplization) to CURE the problem. However this year the problem is back again and this is the third one I had. Now my OB wants to do the exicison and we got the referral to get it done, but the OB suggested to cancel this November in order to keep the gland. Now, the cyst has came back I have been monitioring it for the last 2 days, but unfortunatley, things haven't changed. I'm really frustrated with the whole idea, my sex life is down in the dumped, and my current boyfriend is a pain in the ass. My question in a nutshell, Is this procedure safe? What did the scarring look like? What toll did this procedure really have on your sex life or lack thereof? Was sex still interesting? Having a family afterwards for those women who have no children yet? My doctors really can't explain since I don't have an STI. The best they could say is sorry your just unlucky. I have found out that 2% of women 20-29 do this problem duiring reproductive years, but in all that's not helpful either....
