Hi there, I'm in bed recovering from-guess-what- the second in three years. I guess I am lucky that way- I am 40 now and never had any problems before. I live in Australia and the medical procedures here are pretty much as clueless it seems. My gyn here has marsup'ed the first one and declared it gone.

Three years later and two days ago I had the symptoms again and decided to leapfrog GP paperwork etc, and check in. Sure enough, found myself on the operating table the very day. Here they don't bother with antibiotics. Off to anesthetics and under the knife.

I wonder though, from all you stories, I can only see the helplessness of doctors and wonder about the brutality of that (male?) Italian Doctor who flushes Peroxide into an open wound of a conscious female patient. As we all do one can only speculate why we get it, but my pattern seems to be that I get it straight after my period. Does anyone else also observe that?
