Hi everyone! I have had one abscess, and it was undoubtedly the worst experience of my life (I'm 19). I had this abscess drained, without anesthesia (I posted about it), and that was even worse than enduring the pain of the abscess itself. I was wondering, however, what exactly is the procedure of marsupilization? I mean, I understand the catheter idea, but do you receive general anthesia? Local? The idea of having any needles or any MORE scalpels on/near my labia is terrifying, and I'm unhappily anticipating another cyst (seen that there are so many recurrency cases). Thanks!
