Wow, the idea of "going straight under the knife" sounds amazing! Haha.. Everything is relative, I guess. The first (and last) abscess a few weeks ago came right before my period (2 or 3 days before, in fact), which does make me wonder about other womens' experiences. So I take it you were completely "knocked out"? I am absolutely asking this question about every procedure concerning Bartholin's cyst/abscesses! Gah!! Good luck to you.
