Hi,
I have had a bartholin cyst for the fourth time in 10 years. The first time they just cut it and drained it and then it got infected and I was in horrible pain for a couple of days until it burst by itself. The second time was 9 years later and it went away with sitz baths and heat on the area. Then a few months later it reoccured and I went in to the doctor again. She did a word catheter and then after she removed it it came back within a month. Now I have the cyst again (not an absess) and I am thinking about doing a marsupialization. Does anyone have any advise of a better way to deal with this? Should I just bear with it or should I go in and have the marsupialization? Is the sucess rate good? I would appreciate any advise I can get on this.
