Heather, I am so sorry to hear what you went thru at that city run hospital. I'm sorry it is so long after the fact too. Their actions and treatment were totally out of line and had it been me a letter to the Hospital Administrator and ER Department Head would have been sent. I just recently had a BGC lanced in my ob/gyn's office w/local injections prior to the lancing. None of the procedure was painful. That is one of the reasons I am so outraged by the treatment you received.
I certainly hope that this current BGC has resolved or been resolved. My BCG did come back and we even had me scheduled for a marsupialization at our local Outpatient Surgery, but it went away on its own so we didn't go thru w/it. Therefore I can't give you any idea of the cost of marsupialization in MI. Why not discuss it w/your gyn and explain the financial situation. He/she may be willing to forego his/her fee for the procedure and may be able to refer you for financial assistance. If he/she does them at an Outpatient facility as mine does you may be able to get assistance or reduction of cost at that facility as well.
