Recurring Cysts

Oh my God! I did a search on MSN and found this website. I had no idea it existed. Finally, women who experience my pain (literally). I have had about four or five cysts. They hurt so bad that you don't count how many you've had you just want to get rid of them. I was doing some research to understand why they occur and everyone seems to think it's "bad luck". Other sites suggested that infected ones are caused by STD infections. I asked my doctor why I'm so unlucky and she really couldn't give me an answer. Mine always seem to come at the wrong time. They always start before the weekend with no pain and by the time the weekend is here I am in so much pain I'm popping Midol and Advil every few minutes like a drug addict. My doctor is always good about "squeezing" me in when I call to have it drained. She does the incision to cut it and drain it each time. It hurts like hell and it's disgusting but I feel so much better within minutes. She told me that if it keeps occurring I'll have to have the outpatient surgery. Well it's the holiday weekend and low and behold, it reappears when the doctor won't be open until Tuesday. I haven't had the pleasure of it going away on it's on. I'll I can say to those who are experiencing it for the first time, especially if it's painful - like mine always is, is to keep plenty of Midol, Advil, Tylenol whatever your preference on hand. (It takes the pain away for awhile.) and call a Gynecologist ASAP! Luckily I have one that knows what she is doing and we have developed a relationship due to me seeing her multiple times a year between my cysts and abnormal pap smears, she's seen "my stuff" more than any man I've dated.
