Response to women in charge

I got my first cyst on July 4th. I didn't know what it was and it scared me and I went to the emergency room. The doctor stuck a needle in it, without a local anesthesia, and drew out the fluid. He gave me antibiotics and sent me home. He didn't tell me what to do or anything.

I still have a large portion of skin hanging, but there isn't anything inside it (I don't think). Will that ever go away or is it there for life? I can't help but mess with it whenever I use the restroom.

I am 50 years old and this is the first time that I have ever had anything like this.
