TCP/IP on PC Cards

I'm not sure how the Orange software shares the Ethernet with the Mac and PC sides, but you would have to have a different IP address on the PC side than the Mac side. Apple's software uses Open Transport, which supports the routing to both the PC and Mac side. But, since normally the cable modem requires that you use automatic addressing using DHCP, this can be a problem. So, unless you are using a router behind the cable modem, or your cable modem provider is providing multiple static IP address, it seems like this would be very difficult to set up. And, this is where you can end up with bad performance because packets will get mixed up where to be delivered and get lost, causing slow perfomance due to retransmissions.
