PC Cards in G3

by (no login)

I was previously using the Apple PC Compatibility Pentium card in my G3 233 and 266, along with the Apple PC Serial and Parallel cards. All worked fine under Win95 using PC Setup 1.64 from Apple, and later 2.17 from Fraser Valley. Don't have experience with 98 or NT on these cards.
The PC Serial and Parallel cards allowed the arrangement to have real PC ports with handshake lines that some hardware I previously used required. My only experience with other cards was another guy in the office who used an older Radius card that was nothing but problems. The problems multiplied when there ended up being no driver software upgrade path as Windows evolved and Radius went away.
I have since started using Virtual PC on the G4s I have upgraded to. If you or anyone on the forum is in the market, I have two sets of the PC Compatibility cards and associated Serial/Parallel cards that I am preparing to sell. I can be reached at ccamp@connectnet.com if you are interested.

Regards,
Craig
