PCSetup2.1.7

PCSetup 2.x was done by Randall Venhola. He made several contributions to this board in the past. As I understood it, it was a pain in the a#!* to get the right from Apple to do a new version of PCSetup and when he finally was allowed to, the development had to be done. He did a great job, came up with a beta version and then with a final version and a demo version.
I think the response from the market was not quite what he had expected, in other words too few people paid for the piece of software to justify the efforts he put in the project. Finally, he stopped the project and gave the software away for free. It was available at
http://www.pcsetup2x.com/
but this domain meanwhile leads nowhere.
About a year ago, there was some trouble with their webserver and it was not reinstalled. Randall wanted to provide some download address at another URL, but I don't know if this happened.

As PCSetup 2.1.7 requires a running installation of PCSetup 1.6.4, I'd recommend that you try to get your system up and running with the 1.6.4 version. And if noone pointed out a new URL for the software in the meantime, I think I can help you.
