Whether air exists or not (and density of air) and gravity g are unrelated. In free fall, gravity is acting also.

Under the condition that external force (vector) is one, formula F = ma stands up always and a body is accelerated. In free fall also.

A frame that is accelerating relative to an inertial frame is not inertial frame. An elevator cabin in free fall is not also.

 An inference from Sagnac effect September 6 2017, 10:21 PM
A quadratic prism made of glass is placed horizontally. Two laser beams (sent from the sources at right and left end of upper face) are crossing like letter X and interference fringes are visible. When this prism moves to the right in an accelerated motion, interference fringes will probably vary. How about if this prism is vertical and starts free fall ?

An elevator cabin is forced uniform accelerated motions downward at various accelerations (e.g. 1.5 g). The forces acting on every point inside will be explained by inertial force and gravity (without exception).

An elevator in free fall
The infinite small area ? However, on quantitative continuity between other area, nothing seems to be explained. It will be certain that on every infinite small area, inertial force is acting equally.

On a body, acceleration a is acting. If the equivalence principle is true, on every a, explanation by equivalence principle must be given.

 Re: The Equivalence of Acceleration and Gravitation in General Relativity October 27 2017, 7:56 PM
Equivalence principle seems to be inconsistent with momentum, the law of inertia, the law of causality (causal relationship), the law of gravity, accelerated motion and so on.

The same three bodies start free fall to an asteroid. At starting position of falling, three bodies form a line vertically and each is connected with a rope (length is 10 meters). As the gravitational source approaches, tension of ropes increases. This tension is calculable.
《P.S.》 On every small area, inertial force is acting equally.
《P.S.》 But on earth, why accelerated motion continues ? Because of gravity, will be.

About equivalence principle, to be examined with a windmill will be better than with an elevator.
Forces acting at plural points on blades of rotating windmill are measured. Measurement are only in direction on the revolving surface. Windmill is revolving horizontally, vertically and diagonally. Existence of gravity will emerge.

 Re: The Equivalence of Acceleration and Gravitation in General Relativity November 24 2017, 10:18 PM
Windmill is rotating (rotational speed is enough) vertically and diagonally. Imagine the circle coordinate (origin is the center of windmill) and fixed plural positions on the coordinate. Values of inertial force and gravity that act on blades (act on points passing above positions) are calculated (only in direction on the revolving surface). Gravity is acting on every position equally.
With windmill, to examine the problem from various angle is possible (than elevator).

From a point, two bodies begin the same accelerated motion to the opposite direction. Inertial force and gravity will be distinguishable (will be different things). Equivalence principle will not stand up.

Тяготение вытеснение внутриатомной пустоты предмета G под уклон (градиент) давления эфира u:
F = G*u
На поверхности Земли:
u = 3,70*10\8 паскалей/метр
Внутриатомная пустота G эквивалентна массе m:
G/m = e
e = 2,65*10\8 кубометр/килограмм
G = e*m
Ускорение свободного падения a:
a = F/m = e*m*u/m = e*u
На поверхности Земли:
a = 2,65*10\8 * 3,70*10\8 = 9,81 метр/секунда в квадрате

About equivalence principle, let us do a thought experiment. On a plane (no friction), a body moves in some accelerated motions (accompanied by inertial force). There is no calling for equivalence principle.
Next, the plane slants at a 20 degrees. The same accelerated motions are done. Reasonable explanation will be given not by equivalence principle but by simple calculation.

An elevator cabin is moving on the moon’s orbit in an orbital motion (the same as the moon). On every small area of the cabin, gravity of the earth is acting. Equivalence principle is unimaginable.

When charged particles are accelerated (or decelerated), it emits erectromagnetic waves. Acceleration is not relative.
However, today‘s books do not touch on relativity of acceleration (in web, there are about ten thousands sites including “relativity of acceleration”).

In outer space, an elevator cabin is falling in free fall. Gravitational source is a binary star and from the elevator, it is visible as two elliptical orbits. Equivalence principle should be forgotten.

About existence of luminiferous aether, there is no room for doubts. And it will probably be absolute rest frame (of dynamics) also. If so, free fall can be shown quantitatively (as an acceleration). Equivalence principle will not stand up.
