Aberration of starlight and clocks

September 28 2009 at 10:08 PM

The aberration of starlight is a one-way measure. The problem with this, is that we don't have a clock on the other end of the star to measure from. Everything that is measured, is in terms of lateral motion- this can only become an interpretation.

We have to know where our reliable clocks are. We use our clocks and often say that our clocks deceive us. This should not have to be the case. We should have the liberality to set our clocks where we want to, provided that we respect the rules of relativity, or motion. If we do not believe this, how are we supposed to get control of our environment?
