Have you heard the anecdote of the professor who told his students that “All truth is relative and we can know nothing for certain?” To which one student asked, “Professor, are you sure of that?” And he replied, “I’m certain.”
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International. Now, this would be humorous if the ramifications for society weren’t so serious. Today, many people believe that we live in a relativistic universe. In fact, Dr. D. James Kennedy, the founder of EE once said, they may even throw Einstein’s theory of relativity at you to try and make their point. But the theory of, “relativity deals with matter, mass speed, light, and motion. Period!” Einstein himself said, “Relativity refers only to the realm of physics – not ethics.” So, when sharing your faith if someone says, “There are no absolutes,” what they are really saying is there is no God because God is the ultimate absolute.
