North Hemisphere:
Set your watch to GMT (+- 0) Greenwich UK
Point the Hour hand toward the Sun, SOUTH is between Number 12 and the Hour hand.

In the South Hemisphere:
Set your watch to GMT (+- 0) Greenwich UK
Point the 12 toward the Sun, NORTH is between Number 12 and the Hour hand.

For those with a digital or numerical wristwatch, take the time reading of your watch, draw a watch on a piece of paper matching the time and fellow the above instructions.
The Moon can also be used to indicate EAST, SOUTH, OUEST and NORTH
When the moon is at its first quarter:
At 12 O’clock it indicated EAST
At 18 O’clock it indicates SOUTH
At 24 O’clock it indicates OUEST
At 06 O’clock it indicates NORTH
When the moon is Full:
At 18 O’clock it indicated EAST
At 24 O’clock it indicates SOUTH
At 06 O’clock it indicates OUEST
At 12 O’clock it indicates NORTH
When the moon is at its last quarter:
At 24 O’clock it indicated EAST
At 06 O’clock it indicates SOUTH
At 12 O’clock it indicates OUEST
At 18 O’clock it indicates NORTH
