....but I am so sorry to hear you cycle did not end with a happy nine months.
The grieving process is completely natural in this situation too.
Many ladies take days, week, or even months to bounce back. Sounds cruel I know, but I just mean it takes them a while to recover with the willt o try again.
I have known many who honor their failed cycles by planting gardens with flowers or trees to represent their little embryos that did not stick. Afterall, they were your babies regardless.
some pray, find comfort within something special and their partner and try again.
Please feel completely free to share your grief or your anger with us here.
We are here to help you and we completely understand where your heart and your head is right now.
You should now know more about your body then you did before this IVF Attempt.
If you do not, you need to ask TONS of you questions of your RE before beginning again.
He or she certainly should have learned more about you and what might be the key ingredient to help you succeed.
As two of our fabulous gals already mentioned below you ought to ask about trying Assisted Hatching (AH-they drill a whole on the shell to help the embryo continue to break out and burrow). Why? I only see you needing help with implantation. Based on what you shared, you appear to be successful with the meds at producing quality eggs, you fertilized several successfully without the help of ICSI (where they use a needle to insiminate the sperm into the egg) and your embroys grew beautiflly.
AH is what helped me. After two failed implantation attempts without AH, we asked the doctors to try it. I also ate lots of Pineapple & the pineapple core to assist with implantation. Not sure if that helped, but it is a trick that many women swear by and the one time I tried it my IVF was successful. The insides of my mouth break out within seconds of me eating pineapple...but I would do anything to get pregnant and especially after so many unsuccessful attempts I was willing to try anything.
Just be sure to go in and ask lots of questions. I would assume they will use the same protocal for you this time too. But ask! Also mention AH if you think you can afford the couple hundred dollars added charge. Keep us posted and you are always in our prayers.
Hugs, Nancy & Rylan
