Here's a little update on me

First still no job......lovely but trying to make the best of it. I know it could be a lot worse.

Had a consult with CCRM (in CO) over the phone on Aug 24th. I like them a lot and they work closely with my RE and clinic so I was happy about that. Anyway CO will do some further bw and tests that my clinic doesn't do. They also said that the donor didn't give us good eggs (we only had one good one. That was pretty upsetting to hear although part of me was happy that it wasn't me for the first time.

Had follow-up with my Dr about 2 weeks ago and they also said that the donor's eggs were not good. They welcome me going to CO and will work with that clinic and help me in any way to reach our goal.

So we fly to CO 10/24 DH and I and have some further tests and such my cousin has agreed to be our DE (hopefully that works out)

Our journey continues............

Glad to hear that things are moving along. Sorry to hear the DE's weren't good last time. That's frustrating. Do they test them beforehand or after the fact? I don't know much about the donor process.

I hope you have good luck in CO with your DH and your cousins DE if all works out. I will keep my fingers crossed!

Karen,
Good luck at CCRM. They are truly wonderful there! I tried IVF 3 times at home with no luck, and decided to give it one more shot with my own eggs at CCRM. We never got many eggs at home, but there I ended up getting 26 of which 16 fertilized. We did the genetic testing and were able to transfer two. I also did accupunture while I was at home and in CO. It was a great experience and those two embryos are now two year olds. Good luck with your journey and if you have any questions let me know! Have you ever been to ivfconnections.com? there is a section where you can go to ivf by state. If you click on Colorado, you can meet many women that are going to the clinic at the same time as you, and they can provide you with very useful information.

I asked a cousin but they really weren't for it. I understood and while I'm sad I don't have that genetics in there, I also believe I have the children I was meant to have. KWIM?

I'm excited about this for you. I'm glad your clinic was willing to say the eggs weren't great, it's a good sign when they admit something went wrong (like making them more trustworthy in your eyes). Good luck on the 24th.
