May I inquire: Where God, and God alone has the power to forgive sin, why on His earth would we confess our sins to angels, dead people, etc.?
There is a parallel thought here, though. We ARE instructed to "confess our faults (sins) to ONE ANOTHER...." the purpose being the healing of broken relationships. Beyond that, I dare not go... neither do the angels who are recorded as rejecting worship/prayer to themselves.
