what skills/stats. right now i'm lv 7 with 3 in skel, 2 in skel mastery, 1 in clay golem, 1 in amp, i'll put the next one into bone armor, and about 5 in mage at least. what do you think? i'm currently meleeing cause my troops don't do enough dmg

You will need maxed Skeleton Mastery. If you intend supporting your troops with curses, you don't need Bone Armor. Probably the most useful curses are Iron Maiden, Dim Vision, Lower Resist. If you intend to carry on in melee alongside your troops Bone Armor is useful, and you will need to pump DEX if you want to hit anything. Alternatively you can use one or more of the direct damage skills (CE, Bone Spear, Bone Spirit).

If you're going for skeletons I'd certainly pump up mastery a bit. They die quickly enough in normal difficulty as it is. Might as well do what you can to increase their life slightly. A few points into Golem Mastery never hurts either.
