Response to what?

Well, for one, a movie translation can never be 100% accurate to the book lest it be 12 hours+ long. That's why no book-to-movie translations ever match the book.

You said the key words when you said that the movie is "based" upon the book. Alphonso Cuaron and JK Rowling made a MOVIE called Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. They didn't make a translation of the novel.

How many people are more familiar with the book The Wizard of Oz than the movie of the same name? They are both great stories, but they are independent of each other. One is a movie, one is a book. Most will say that the movie was better than the book but it really doesn't matter because they are separate entities.
