my attorney had filed my I-140 last month.i have not recived my recipt number.my attoreney says not yet recived.i cannot find out online.is there possible how to find out my recipt number.and can i file my 485 after apporve I-140.i heard concerrent filling of I-140 and I-485.is fine my case filling 485 after apporving 140.

An application receipt number is mailed to a customer after they have submitted an application to a CIS Service Center. Once you pay the fee for the application either I-140 or I-485. This number normally starts with a letter "A".
As per the regulations, the I-140 and I-485 must be filed concurrently. If this filed separately, it has to be refilled again. I hope this answers your question.

thanks for ur response.as u mentioned I-140 andI-485 must file together.but my attorney already filled I-140.he says once it get apporvel we will file I-485.sholud i wait for pporvel or do i need to file together 140 and 485 .appericate if ur help me out in this case.is it possible to file separtely as my 140 filled in the month of june.
